High Point is a good example of abused taxpayer funds by unwatched nonprofits. While they may sound good in charter, they are often a way to advance political agendas with little to no public knowledge of financials, unlike city "public" records on pay and expenditures. This is tax money, and a lot of it, and hiding it under the umbrella of a different name does'nt excuse the lack of oversight on it's use.
