Dear Jerry Bledsoe,
I can't thank you enough for your articles "Cops in Black & White." You have provided enlightment for the City of Greensboro, and possibly hope for the future of the GPD - but it will take a long time to right all the wrongs of recent years! You have given me, and I'm sure other honest people who worked at the GPD vindacation for having stood up for our rights and maintaining our integrity - even though it meant never advancing. I eventually just left, realizing my honesty had cost me much, but I sleep well at night and thanks to you, Jerry Bledsoe, so will a lot of other honest people touched in a very negative way by the recent blight that has befallen the Greensboro Police Department. The moral deterioration reaches from the lowest ranking employees to the very top, and those who rose (and continue to rise) most quickly to the highest rank, be it job title or job evaluation, were generally the ones who kept the discrimination flourishing, even if only by their "silence;" at least that was my experience.
