Four more years of gridlock?

Dear Editor,

Sorry Mr. Obama, but this is still a Democracy, not a dictatorship. Just because you were elected president by a majority of the popular vote does not affirm and give you the absolute authority to dictate your policies to congress and the American people. If that is your intent, you have just decreed four more years of congressional deadlock in Washington, and hopefully the beginning of a movement to impeach you.

In one breath, you say you want to work with Congress to solve our problems. Then, in the same breath, you say that being elected affirms that the American people have given you the power and authority to ram anything you feel appropriate down our throats.

It appears that bipartisanship is just another meaningless word in your vocabulary.
