Now part of Allen Tate Real Estate, Smith Marketing offers services to home buyers, sellers, builders and developers, and will be launching a buyers’ incentive program in August.
Betty Smith is a busy lady. Her company, Smith Marketing Inc., which she runs with her two sons, is one of the triad's most successful residential real estate companies. Established in 2001, Smith Marketing now has two divisions – one that specializes in helping families and individuals sell and/or purchase a new home, and another that works with builders and developers to design, market and sell new homes.

In 2009, Smith Marketing joined forces with Allen Tate Real Estate and became their number one team in the triad. Whether Smith Marketing is the seller's agent or buyer's agent, they make a concerted effort to give their clients the best service possible. Betty Smith said she feels this is the reason for Smith Marketing's number one status.

Providing that excellent service is a team effort. The Smith team is made up of energetic professionals. Each member of the team has their own area of expertise, from Jeff Craig, a relocation specialist, to Laura Alexander, the on-site agent at Mackintosh on the Lake.

The team members know the area well. Most have roots here. Tara Beaver, for instance, is a life-long resident of Alamance County. She has served as a vice president of the Alamance-Burlington Home Builders Association and was their Parade of Homes chairperson.

Craig has lived in Greensboro for 22 years. His experience includes knowledge of all aspects of new construction materials, building methods and what it takes for a home to be Energy Star certified. He also has a great deal of experience with the latest in media technologies.

Jim Duncan was born in the triad and has worked in nearly every area of the real estate industry. He is knowledgeable in all aspects of financing and can help clients acquire the type of financing that will work for them.

Gail Ramsburg is the on-site Realtor and representative for D. Stone Builders. D. Stone builds custom twin and single-family homes. Ramsburg can show twin and single homes in both Seven Gates, near Guilford College, and Southern Gates in the Brassfield area.

Team member Cynde Dorzweiler is another life-long triad resident. She said she loves helping people find and purchase a new home, as do all the members of the Smith Marketing team. Profiles of all the team members are available on the Smith Marketing website: www.smithmarketinginc.com.

Having been in the real estate business for 37 years, Betty Smith has a wealth of knowledge about this area. She has seen the changes the triad has gone through, seen its growth, knows its potential and said she is excited about the opportunities the region offers.

Smith was raised in Guilford County, raised her family here, and her children are now bringing up their families in Guilford County. She said she feels that the triad has an excellent quality of life, and because Smith feels so strongly about the area she has been very involved in the community over the years. She was elected to the old Guilford County Board of Education and served on it for eight years. She is currently a member of the Greensboro Planning Board. Active in the Greensboro Builders Association (GBA), Smith served as president in 2009 and is on the executive committee of Triad Real Estate and Building Industry Coalition (TREBIC). She has won numerous industry and Allen Tate awards for her work.

Betty's son Jason Smith is also active in the GBA and served on the Board of Directors, chaired the 2008 Parade of Homes, chaired the public relations committee for two years, and is on the executive committee of the triad sales and marketing council.

Betty Smith said she is excited about the upcoming completion of the highway loop around Greensboro. It will enable quick access to all the outlying towns that surround Greensboro, making it easy for people to live in the community that suits them best while providing easy access to jobs in downtown Greensboro and throughout the region. Smith can help buyers find the community that has the quality of life they want with the accessibility they need.

Smith Marketing has homes available throughout the triad in a wide variety of price ranges. Whether you are looking for a single-family home, a twin home, or a maintenance-free townhome or condo, Smith Marketing can help you find it. Here are just a few of the neighborhoods they are involved with. In Greensboro: Cresswell Manor in Grandover, Jacobs Way in Lake Jeanette, The Gates at Brassfield, Blakeney, Seven Gates and Southern Gates. In Jamestown: Jordan Creek. In Brown Summit: Brooke Meadows and Pearson Farms. In Reidsville: Carter Ridge. In Oak Ridge: Kensington Place. In Burlington: Mackintosh on the Lake. In Graham: Alamance Acres. In Kernersville: Briartown. And in Stokesdale: Brookfield.

Smith Marketing also offers marketing services to builders. They are able to help plan new communities, from land acquisition to final sales. Smith Marketing can work out a customized marketing plan, design logos and marketing materials, then provide the on-site sales operation for the builder. They are a full service marketing team.

Smith Marketing will be launching a new buyer's incentive program coming in August – watch for it.
