CityView at Southside in downtown Greensboro has opened its latest building — The GreenLine — with eco-friendly one- and two-bedroom apartments and a wide variety of community amenities.
CityView at Southside amenities include a clubhouse with a coffee bar, three large screen TVs, billiard table and kitchen, as well as a 24-hour fitness center, business center and swimming pool.
You work downtown, you play downtown, you enjoy the cultural attractions downtown, so why not live downtown?

CityView is located to take advantage of all that downtown Greensboro has to offer, while at the same time affording the community feel of a real neighborhood.

CityView is in Southside – a thriving neighborhood just a short walk from the Greensboro city center. The neighborhood has a mix of restored homes, new homes, retail/residential units and rental properties joined by a network of sidewalks.

Signature Properties opened its latest building in CityView on June 23. Originally scheduled to open the first weekend in July, the GreenLine was completed ahead of schedule and units are now available to rent by adults who are 21 and over.

The GreenLine is an eco-friendly building consisting of 79 units with one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments. Each apartment has a kitchen with stainless steel Energy Star certified appliances (refrigerator with ice maker, dishwasher and stove), white Kashmir granite countertops, solid birch cabinets, a movable center island and space for a side-by-side washer and dryer. Dual flush toilets are standard in all units, LED lighting helps reduce energy costs and a rooftop solar system contributes to the energy efficiency of the GreenLine apartment homes.

First floor units have stained concrete floors, and upper level apartments have wood laminate floors, ceramic tile in the bathrooms and carpeting in the bedrooms. Ceilings in the first floor apartments are 11 foot, adding to the open feel of these already spacious units. Select apartments have open truss ceilings and exposed brick walls. All upper floor units have 9-foot ceilings.

The new GreenLine building has a number of apartment configurations available. For example, there is the Southside, a one-bedroom, one-bath unit with a large terrace overlooking the Greensboro skyline; the Conrail, a two-bedroom, two-bath apartment; and, the Norfolk, a one-bedroom with one bath. All apartments feature the great room concept, with the kitchen and living spaces flowing easily together.

There are also a number of floor plans to choose from in the MainLine apartment units. MainLine apartments come with solid cherry cabinetry and black appliances. All units have either a patio or balcony. Elevators in the gated breezeways in all the buildings provide access to upper floors. There is ample parking for residents' cars adjacent to the buildings, and each building has monitored alarm systems for residents' protection. CityView is also pet-friendly, with plenty of grassy areas for those all-important "walks." Every apartment in the CityView complex has access to free wireless internet.

At the heart of the CityView community is the clubhouse and resort-style swimming pool. The clubhouse is open round the clock, and inside is a 24-hour business center with computers and printers for resident use. The fitness center with its treadmills, elliptical trainers and weight machines is also open 24 hours. Early risers can grab their morning coffee at the coffee bar starting at 5 a.m. Comfortable sofas and chairs surround low tables where residents can meet their neighbors and friends for that morning coffee or evening get-togethers. There is also a kitchen area, three large screen TVs and a billiard table in the clubhouse.

Outside, the pool deck and grill are open year-round for parties, though the pool is heated from April through October. The roof of the clubhouse is a sundeck with a commanding view of the Greensboro skyline, the pool and the surrounding neighborhood. CityView regularly plans socials for residents to get to know each other.

Not only is CityView convenient to downtown Greensboro's restaurants, nightclubs, baseball stadium, theaters, art galleries, retail stores and coffee shops, its location is central to the colleges and universities that ring the city's center. There is easy access to I-40 and I-85, the railroad station is a short walk, and public transportation is close at hand.
