There are a huge number of people who shoot, and just own arms merely for fun, with the thought of hunting or “sporting use,” as defined by the left, not in the mix at all. Most legal gun owners do not hunt, or shoot skeet, or compete in the Olympics; we own these arms for the history, and enjoyment, and do not understand a country that seems to be hell-bent to legalize drugs and demonize the legal ownership and use of guns. If we are to do away with the abused item, based on the misuse of same, then we had all better learn to walk or ride a bike, as drunks and jerks kill our wonderful kids every single day with the misuse of the automobile.
