New Commissioners: It's Time!
November 17, 2012 | 08:04 AM

If the new board is serious about change and "cutting the fat" they will fire Fox and appoint a new manager from outside the organization as well as appoint a new assistant manager that is not deeply rooted in the same secretive micro-management philosophy under Fox and Alston. Fuller needs a reality check and has gotten an easy ride from Alston for way too long at our expense.

The four horsemen need to go: Fox, Fuller, Stellfox & Weaver can collectively waste more time, resources, and money than the rest of the county combined. Many departments suffer with more and more cuts burdening their staff while these few seem to get rewarded for sticking it to us peons.

We have a decision team, agenda team, information technology action committee, major equipment committee, facilities committee, vehicle committee, capital improvement plan committee, dress code committee, furniture committee, the list goes on and on. Most of the staff in attendance dread each meeting because they know its a waste of time. Essential staff spend their time chasing rainbows and daydreaming in micro-managed meetings at the direction of our administration keeping them from the work that we all pay them to do.

Give us a management team that can make sound decisions without all the wasted time; One that is as transparent with county staff as we are expected to be with the public.
