Wagner dodges a lot, and Sims,Smothers, and Mendenhall look to form a solid block of politically motivated spenders. Lovejoy talks the talk, but sometimes leans too heavily on the "investment" thesis. Williard is quiet to the average taxpayer, and Cy Davis seems the most sincere of all at this point on waste and corruption,no matter the names involved. The "needy" on both ends of the economic scale in our town get all kinds of taxpayer largesse, while the average working taxpayer gets a bill and no voice at all. We need primaries and to keep two year terms, and we need a real change in leadership in this town, with the survival of the local taxpayer at heart. The apparent goal here is to have the nicest town in NC that nobody can afford to live in.
