Hi. This is for everybody that works for The Rhino. You might be interested knowing that our dead-beat, tax-cheat mayor spoke to the Greensboro Rotary today at luncheon. And he says the worst thing that happened to Greensboro is the paper that comes out on Thursday, it's the worst thing that happened to progress in Greensboro, and the members ought to do something about it. And I laughed myself. The members are doing something about it. Reading the paper and knowing what's going on in Greensboro. So, just wanted to pass that on to you. Bye-bye.

We think it is a tragedy that a 21-year-old female driver lost her life this week in Greensboro with the police chasing her. She did not commit a crime. She might have broken a traffic offense. But it's not worth chasing a 21-year-old driver and scaring them into wrecking. If the police really want to chase somebody, why don't they chase some of the major drug dealers we have in Greensboro, or is that a little bit too dangerous? Thank you.

Yes, here's a little knowledge from Ronald Reagan. He said: We must regret the idea that every time a law is broken society is guilty rather than the lawbreaker. It is time to restore the American perception that each individual is accountable for his actions. And this is from Ronald Reagan. I think it is a good thought. Thank you, and have a nice day.

As far as the politics in town, The Rhino Times has some, let's say, gumption. Thank you, and keep this up.

In reference to the illegal alien using the fake Social Security card to sign up for TV, don't you realize we legal citizens are the only ones expected to obey the law, even though Barry Soetoro Obama says we are a nation of laws. Those laws only pertain to the US citizens. Illegal aliens are exempt for our laws. Don't you realize that? How many other violations has she committed? Sneaking across the border, violation. Driving without a license, violation. Working at a job in the country illegally, violation. Fake Social Security card, violation. And at a cost of over $250,000 a year raising a child from the age of 2 to 18 years of age, how much does that cost us in this case? Multiply that by millions, and you'll see what's going on in America and why we're in debt up to our eyeballs. We can't continue to fund the education, medication, and the cost to raise the illegal aliens as we have …
% % %
In continuation. We are in debt to our eyeballs. But with millions of illegal aliens in this country, and we're giving away our birthright to these people as fast as they can have children. And, then, the cost per child paid out. We're bankrupt. But, yet, the person that's going to suffer in all of this is the American citizen, the elderly people, the people in need of help. The monies needed to help these folks are going to be spent on illegal aliens. And no one seems to care. Obama is doing just what Obama does. He's trading votes for – for funds. It's a disgrace and a shame, and when an illegal alien in the USA has more rights than us taxpaying citizens. And this is a continuation, and it's going to continue until somebody with some guts in the Congress and Senate decides to address this issue. Not only that, China is sending their women into this country right now …

I'm 77, and I barely did get through high school. But I'm watching the news. This is Jan. 7. And for my Democrat friends that's got a good education, some of them went to college, did not have enough sense and enough foresight to see that Obama is going to be taxing everybody in this country. This tax is coming out that you have never heard of before. I knew that. And they didn't know it. I don't understand that.

This is just a note about the Duke Energy tree cutters. Duke really does not cut any trees themselves but do contract the work out. So, the tree cutters get paid by the amount of work they do. The more trees down, the bigger the paycheck from Duke. What could be wrong with this picture? If Duke plans to offer electricity 100 years from now, wouldn't it be cheaper for them to put the lines underground, kind of like Switzerland, and not have to worry about ice storms and triple pay for out-of-state workers, etc., etc. If they did 5 percent per year, in 20 years the problem is solved if my math is right. Or at least when they're having to move lines, wouldn't it be good to put the lines underground then, like High Point Road? No, Duke decided just to move the lines, cut more trees and the beat goes on. So, Duke just lets the misery go on. They do not have to worry about a profit. And they just charge us back for all expenses. Thanks.

Two of the safest states in the US are Wyoming and Vermont. Wyoming appeals very much to the right. Vermont appeals very much to the left. Both have next-to-no gun laws. You can alternatively go to Venezuela if you want to experience lots and lots of oppression for your children.

Good evening. This month marks the very sad 40th anniversary of Roe v. Wade in January 1973, thanks to our always-knowing-what's-best-for-us Supreme Court. What a national tragedy. I would like to make this statement that I hope you will not find too distasteful to print. I have done some research on the staggering number of murders – oops, I'm sorry, I meant abortions – performed in this nation since Roe v. Wade became the law of the land. You talk about a woman's right? Maybe roughly half the babies aborted in the last 40 years in this nation were girl babies. Did they have a choice?
% % %
Yeah, as tragic as the shooting in Newtown, Connecticut, was, what we seem to forget is that 25 to 30 people get shot and killed every day in this country. So, the same number of people that died in that one tragedy died the next day from guns. So, let's put this in perspective. We need background checks to make sure that people that are mentally ill don't get guns. Well, I guess if you want a gun and someone in your house is mentally ill that doesn't have to pass a background check for you to get a gun, then you shouldn't have one either. Because this guy didn't have a background check or anything. He was a nut job, and there was a gun available for him to pick up and use. So, if anybody in the house has any mental illness, then no one in the house should have a gun. It's pretty simple. And guns kill people.
% % %
Yeah, to continue. Guns do kill people when nut jobs get hold of them and shoot them. So, if anybody in this country is undiagnosed with a mental illness, and how are we supposed to keep the guns out of their hands? The simple solution is, nobody has any guns, then we don't have this problem. And well-regulated militia was designed to have the people ready to fight against the British who might be coming over here trying to take over the US. That's what the gun law was about in the Constitution, not about you having a gun in your house or on your person, because you could shoot somebody that you thought was a threat. And the first person that tries to shoot someone in my defense and shoots me, I'm going to sue the heck out of them for everything they've got, because I didn't ask for their help.

For all these people that keep crying to get the guns out of people's hands, they're wasting their time for the simple fact criminals have always got guns. People need guns in their homes to protect their selves from the criminals. But you want to take the guns away from the people that need them and let the ones that breaks in on all these people and kills them, you want them to continue on with them, because they'll always have them. They know where to get them. They know how to get them. So, I wish you would get off of this thing about guns. It's not the guns. It's the people behind it. And all that dope that's behind that. Good day.

It's obvious by now that President Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton were negligent in the deaths of four Americans in Benghazi. It's also clear that they are engaged in a cover-up. While this is an impeachable offense, there has been no call for impeachment. Isn't this the fault of the Republican Party? Thank you.

There seems to be a lot of differences among those who are on the board and working for this new civic center. Just recently one of the top members said it would serve about 350,000 per year. Well, at 350,000, $5 additional to the ticket for the retirement of the bonds would only give $1.7 million. By the time you pay the maintenance of the facility, where's the money going to come from to pay off the bonds if they're issued?

Yeah, Steely Dan Fan Man. Concerning the young lady who got in the chase, and crashed her car, and died on Pinecroft. The newspaper said that the trooper, or policeman, whoever he was, was going 15 miles under the speed limit on I-40, which is just as illegal as going 15 miles over the speed limit on I-40. And if I had been doing that, I would have been pulled over. I want to know why he was doing 15 miles under the speed limit. It's my belief that he is directly responsible for her death. If he'd been going the regular speed limit, he would have had no reason to suspect that she had a revoked license and, therefore, would not have gotten in the chase with her, and she would still be alive today, revoked license or not. Better to have her driving with a revoked license than to have her dead.
% % %
Continuing here. As far as I'm concerned, he's responsible for that young lady's death, and I guarantee you that nobody is going to take responsibility for that so they can't be sued. Just like the trooper who killed the grandmother and the granddaughter several years ago down on old 85 in Jamestown. Then they took no responsibility for it so they couldn't be sued. And he was directly responsible for their deaths. And this is just a crying shame. It's a crying shame that they can get away with this.

Just a quick note specifically for Ted Nugent related to his prediction last summer about his whereabouts should Barack Obama be reelected president. Now that the country has done the ethical, moral, intelligent and patriotic thing by reelecting President Obama, I am absolutely positive that there are millions of people who would be very happy to assist little Teddy with his prediction that he would either end up in jail or be dead if President Obama was reelected. As intelligent, ethical, moral patriots, we who voted for Obama would be proud to help little Teddy.

You know, I'm hearing too many rumors that a lot of people voted for Trudy Wade just so they wanted her off the City Council on her way. You know, if that's actually a fact, or a non-reality? Because I heard it from Democrats and Republicans both.

I saw a commercial just now on the TV said the first thing they said was how long have you had your car insurance? I switch about every six months for the last two or three years. And the reason is because I keep getting lied to by each and every insurance company that I go to. I keep getting lied to and the rates go up when they say they're not going to. And they go up exorbitantly, too. I mean, like, you know, 20 percent, which is ridiculous. And I haven't had a wreck, and I've got a good driving record. I've got 34 years' driving experience. And there's no good reason for it. So, in answer to their question, I switch about every six months. And I would just like to let everybody know that.

I'm just wondering how long us good conservative Republicans are going to stay on the sidelines and watch the filthy Democrats demoralize America. It's terrible what they have done and what they are doing to our country. How long are we g‑oing to stand by and watch it before we do something about it? Evil flourishes when good people do nothing. We've got to unite and vote them out at the polls. That's all there is to it. Thank you.

I see where UVA has whooped on UNC Chapel Hill again in basketball. And, again, the University of Virginia doesn't have illegal classes, made-up classes nobody shows up for and everybody gets an A. It's just odd. Hard to figure out.

Hi, John. Thank you so much for including, again, the story of your – that your dad wrote about the Christmas gifts and the sharing. I think that's a wonderful tribute to your dad, and it's a good example of paying it forward. Blessings on you and happy New Year. Keep up the good work. Thanks. Bye-bye.

I hope the friends of Mayor Perkins in Greensboro Google his name once in a while to find out what he is actually doing.

Yes, just calling about Cablevision, Time Warner of Greensboro. That's gotten to be $86 a month for TV. It's just outrageous, especially for a senior citizen on a fixed income. I think Time Warner should offer some better rates for seniors that are retired and on a fixed income. But it seems to me they've just gotten so big and impersonal; that they're not working with folks anymore. Thank you.

I'd like to say that to all of the Democrats, and people who voted Obama back in, I hope you enjoy the recession that we are going back into. It's all your fault. Thank you very much. Work is slowing down. Business is slowing down. We're going into a recession. And he cannot deny it and blame on somebody else this time. It's all his fault. And all you Democrats, thank you. Bye.

Yes, with the price of gas the way it is, milk the way it is, groceries the way they are, why doesn't the federal government allow us to put that on our income taxes and deduct some of that so we would have some more money in our pockets? Can somebody answer that question? I mean we're paying out constantly out of our pockets to get back and forth to work, wear and tear on our cars. The average little guy, not business owners but the average little guy, and we can't deduct nothing. It's just more and more coming out of our pockets. Maybe we all ought to get on welfare and public assistance. I think that's the wave of the future. Thank you, and have a nice day.

How can a person say they can't see anything big as a school bus with its lights flashing? I feel the penalty should be the following: an automatic 90-day suspension of their license, a $500 fine, a year's probation, and five points on their license. If they do it again the second or third time, then the second time everything should be doubled. The third time, permanent license suspension. But there's no excuse. If they can't see a bus, they need to have their eyes checked. Maybe they don't need to be driving at all. That's no excuse for all those children to get killed, or hurt, or whatever. And they need to make the penalties higher.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who does good, morally respectable work for their service to their country. I am disgusted that people presume government employment to be automatically worthy of that thanks.

Yeah, I was at a rally to support gun rights. Someone stood up and made a good point. They shouldn't outlaw our guns. They shouldn't restrict our guns. Just make the price of the ammo so outrageous that only cops and people that do it for a living can actually afford to buy the ammo. Yeah, that's a pretty good idea. You wouldn't have to go round up guns. You wouldn't have to pass laws. You wouldn't have to restrict stuff. You wouldn't have to do buy-backs. A gun is useless if you don't have the ammo. He's on to something there.

Hi. This is Moochie. Well, State of North Carolina, you've done it again. Every time you mess with the sweepstakes it benefits the owners, not the players. Are you trying to get rid of them, or is there so much money around that the owners are able to pay you off? Let's find out what's happening about the sweepstakes. Either close them down completely, or make it fair to the players by regulating them. Thank you.

Hi. This is Moochie again. I was recalling how on TV the owner was saying that look at all the jobs that would be lost. Where were these people working before they created the sweepstakes? Are they filing W-2 forms on all of these people? Are we going to be left taking care of them when it's time for Social Security and they have no benefits? No health care? Thank you.

Hi, love your paper. I just wanted to pop a few things out to you there. How about that city manager, Mitchell Johnson? How many lawsuits does this guy have against him anyway? I mean, who pays for that? Does the city tax dollars pay for that, or does the union pay for that? I don't know who's paying for his defense against all the lawsuits that he has against him there. Ah, anyway, he is a character. I just thought I'd let you guys know. Maybe you can check into that. I don't know. Have a good day there, and bye-bye.

Yes, it must be a Southern thing, but I noticed a lot of handicapped people down South are always driving the nicest and newest vehicles going, top of the line. What's up with that? And, also, it must be a Southern thing. What's up with the car in front of you putting the turn signal on to let you know that the car in front of them is making a turn? That's crazy. You people are whacky down here.
