Yost is not the sharpest tool, 'tis true.
The sweet irony is that the HTTP protocol, over which his semi-sentient words are being transmitted, was written in an office a few doors down from mine at CERN. It was given freely to the world.
He's right to compare the LHC to the space program â€" he is equally ignorant of both, and their benefits.
So he keeps writing this blather, and putters ignorantly around with his tech toys and worldwide communications network, all unaware of their origins.
And I suppose that's fine.
Just ignore his 'thoughts' on the matter.
